Identität und Symbol - Symbol und Identität

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Individuum, Gruppe, Gesellschaft, Note: 1,3, Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) (Vergleichende Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: There is an analogy in the definition and description between symbols and the human identity. I have tried to prove it in this paper. Firstly, in every chapter I have presented the most important features of a symbol. Then I have tried to summarize the Mead`s and Assmann`s theories which deal with the personal and collective identity. I have just chosen the points, which seem to draw an analogy between symbol and identity. I have focused on the crucial influence of symbols on the creation of identities.
