Identifying Relationship Between Researchers Using Their Homepages

The identification of relationship between scientific authors is an important area of study which has many applications. One of the most important application is to identify the Conflict-of-Interest between authors and reviewers. There may exist different kind of relationships between scientific authors for example person ¿A¿ and person ¿B¿ has not co-authored a single publication but they have studied together from the same supervisor, both ¿A¿ and ¿B¿ have worked together on same project, both ¿A¿ and ¿B¿ host a special issue of a journal etc. This kind of relationships may not be discovered using co-author network and social network, but they represent a strong association between two researchers and to find such associations is the basic theme presented in this work.
