I, Medusa

This is the story of Medusa as it has never been told before.

On a nameless island, ruled by the sea gods of a forgotten time, Meddy longs to be remembered. But as the only mortal in a family of primordial gods, she feels destined to be a footnote in someone else's story.

When a demigod's possible murder brings the goddess Athena to the island, Meddy's sense of justice and honesty appeal to the goddess and earns her the opportunity of a lifetime: to become one of Athena's esteemed temple priestesses - and, Meddy hopes, perhaps even immortal.

Whisked away to Athens, Meddy flourishes as Athena's right-hand woman. But in a world where mortals are merely pawns in the games of the gods, to be favoured by Athena is to be noticed by others and, after a drunken encounter between girl and god, Meddy learns that the attention of an Olympian is not always a blessing ...

Condemned for a crime she did not commit and ousted from Athens, the young woman called Medusa now embraces a new identity - not as a victim, but as a vigilante - and with it, a chance to write her own story, as mortal, martyr, and monster.
