Hypospadias and Experience in our Institute

Sixteen cases of hypospadias were studied in this study. These cases were taken from patients admitted in pediatric surgery ward in kims hubli from November 2009-july 2011. Each of the cases were recorded individually as per the proforma and investigations were done as per the requirement of the cases. This study has included 4 glanular,4 coronal,2subcoronal,1 anterior-penile,3mid penile,2posterior penile,1penoscrotal types of hypospadias. There was one case had underwent supra pubic cystostomy for urethral calculi. The History of consanguinous was elicited in 4 cases. Two cases had bilateral undecendent testis and one case with short penis. In addition, out of twenty-one case 13 underwent single stage procedure and three had underwent two stage procedures. Of the different procedures the distal hypospadias had underwent 6 magpi procedures, for penile shaft hypospadias 6 had underwent snodgras technique.one underwent duckett¿s procedure.
