Hydrobiology of the Reservoir

The book focuses on the enhancement of capacity of the reservoir by uprooting the unwanted weeds and desilting along with the assessment of hydrochemistry of reservoir water and count of different types of organisms studied by the author. The entire book is divided into 8 chapters these include: 1. Fundamentals of Reservoir, 2. Materials and methods, 3. Capacity Enhancement of Reservoir,4. Hydrochemistry of Reservoir and groundwater, 5. Phytoplanktons, 6. Zooplanktons,7. Macrophytes and 8. Fish potential of Bhogaon reservoir. Keeping in view the importance of aquatic organisms in shaping the nation's economy the present volume intends to highlight some important aspects of hydrobiology of the reservoir. The contents have been organized in 'self-contained' units for ease of understanding. The initial chapters deal with fundamental aspects of reservoir and hydrochemistry. The organisms are then analyzed, with emphasis on the significant characters and systems of classification for each kind of organisms starting from microscopic dimension (planktons) to large ones (fishes).
