The book described the outcome of a hybridization between African mudfish, Clarias anguillaris and African giant catfish, Heterobranchus bidorsalis without sacrificing (killing) of the male fish for milt (semen) collection under semi-arid zone condition. The growth performance, heterosis for both growth and survival at fingerlings and table size stages, protein profile via SDS-electrophoresis and the haematological profiles of both hybrids and the pure line progenies were described.
