E-glass fiber (mat) and Jute fiber (mat) reinforced polymer hybrid composites are prepared by the hand layup technique at room temperature and enhances the mechanical properties and it leads to the increase of the utilization of natural fibers in various applications. Hybridization of jute/E-glass imparts better mechanical and wear properties than individual fiber reinforced composite. Other salient applications may be in louver shutter assembly for railway coaches, greenhouse framework, low-density insulation board, ceiling tiles, lightweight furniture, office partitions, core materials for doors, wind mill blades, low pressure containers, tubes and ducts.
