Human's Best Friend. Life is a Story - story.one

I still remember the day I met my best friend. And I think, I will always remember the day I lost him. When he left this world, my world, he had been part if it for almost half my life. Every clear memory I have of my childhood or my teenager years, he is in them. His death was the hardest thing I had to endure until now. I wanted this story, his story to be noticed. Because his life on this earth was a beautiful gift for me and my family. Because his story is one of many like him. I know he won't have thought all the thoughts I have written, but I am certain that he had felt everything. I believe he mourned, he enjoyed, he suffered, and he loved just like we do. He was never just a pet to me, never just a dog. He was my family, and he will always stay a part of it. This story is his and ours. It is a story of his life on the streets of Portugal, of the hardships it takes to come to live in another country. This is a story ready to be heard.
