This book is composed of lecture notes of the author and has the objective of helping students to comprehend the processes of human growth and development. Hence, it is in response to the felt needs and the real issues of students of the course on human growth and development at the Marist International University College. The book is thus addressed to prospective and practising teachers. The book explores developmental changes during pre-natal and post-natal stages of human development with special emphasis on the social, physical, intellectual, emotional, and moral of human development. Theories of human growth and development have been incorporated to provide for more understanding and application. The book should thus help students and practising teachers to appreciate and respect the complexity of human life.
