HIV AND AIDS

Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome or Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) has commandeered media headlines, instigated public awareness, and garnered funding in more profound ways than any other disease in history. Present book has six chapters including the bibliography. In the first chapter, the description about survey site is discussed and in chapter two, I had tried to discuss the structure and function of HIV and also try to elaborate the current status of AIDS in INDIA. Various myths are found among general public, it was found during the survey. There is also much social awareness about AIDS and a number of non-governmental organizations are taking keen interest in educating people and helping them. Realizing the importance of this health hazard an investigations about its awareness among students was undertaken.
