Historical Memory of Nursing Education

The vertiginous development of teaching in the province of Espiritu, begins with the preparation of nurses who fulfilling their administrative, teaching and assistance functions, join the teaching of their knowledge to future graduates, in the building currently occupied by the Municipal Assembly located on the Boulevard, later the premises where the Provincial Health Sector is located is enabled, In the meantime, the construction of what would become the Polytechnic of Health was carried out and due to the flow of students, it was decided by the competent bodies to change it to become a branch of Medical Sciences, currently it is a teaching block of the UCM in Sancti Spíritus. The study that is carried out emphasizes the performance of the educational community, significant events are described, led by teachers and students; which reaffirms the importance of the educational teaching work, in the formation of students in the nursing career.
