Higher Education Objectives and Attainment of Cameroon's Vision 2035

This study aimed at investigating the extent to which the Implementation of Higher Education Objectives predict the Attainment of Cameroon's Vision 2035. Specifically, the study found out to what extent: the promotion of ethnics and national consciousness, promotion of bilingualism, strengthening of gender equality, and the training of trainers and researchers predict the attainment of Cameroon's Vision 2035, with respect to poverty alleviation, and National Unity and consolidation of democracy. The study made use of four hypotheses. The quantitative and qualitative design was used. The population consisted of 14 Higher institutes. The sample of 370 students. 24 teachers were also interviewed. A questionnaire and an interview guide were used for data collection. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was the statistical tool. The findings revealed that: the promotion of ethics and national consciousness and strengthening of gender equality are high, hence can guarantee attainment of Cameroon's Vision 2035. On the contrary the current promotion of bilingualism and training of trainers is low, hence does not guarantee Vision 2035. Strong recommendations were made.
