Higher Education in India: A Perspective on Tangkhul Nagas in Ukhrul

This book entitled, ¿Problems and Challenges of Higher Education in India: A Perspective on Tangkhul Nagas in Ukhrul District of Manipur¿, differentiates the status of higher education and higher educational development between the dominant (non-tribe) and minority (tribes) sections, in India. Unlike the problems and challenges facing by the dominant section, the unique-negate forms of triple problems and challenges are facing by the minority section, under the dominant led governing nation/state. It compared and contrasted the adopted national democratic policies on higher education and allied policies, and brought out the crucial differences between the dominant and minority sections. This book gives the clear picture of incompetent system of higher education, inequality and the harsh impacts upon the tribals groups in a nation-state, Manipur. The poor value of functioning higher education in the corner or landlocked or borderland or lack of attention area of the globe is explored. Importantly, this book is interesting, challenging, and at the least, this book will enrich and broaden the knowledge on higher education, which is unique.
