Herbarium teaching material to relate theory and practice

In the teaching of Biology, Botany is one of the branches that presents greater difficulties of assimilation of the contents by the students. Thus, it causes them lack of interest in learning, since the teaching methodology is expository. Some of the reasons for their disinterest can be highlighted: the lack of facilitating didactic material parallel to each content. In this context, the didactic herbarium, an aggregate of dried plants is an example of associating theoretical content to practice for meaningful learning and leads the student to develop skills. The present research aims to influence Biology teachers to adopt practical classes using the didactic material herbarium, reducing theoretical approaches, in order to lead students to develop skills in the study of Botany.
