Zovawk pig is an indigenous pig breed available in Mizoram state of India.This pig is of scavenging type and are reared by Mizo community in rural areas of Mizoram. Baseline data on hematological and blood biochemical parameters of Zovawk pig in different age groups, seasons and sex are presented in the book. Hemato-biochemical profile of Zovawk was influenced by age, season and sex. Both summer and rainy seasons were stressful to Zovawk particularly the grower pigs. Hemato-biochemical profile of Zovawk indicated its wild origin and its adaptation to tropical monsoon agro-climatic condition of Mizoram.
