Heat Audit and Energy Conservation Study of a Dairy Plant

For finding energy conservation opportunities in an industry, heat audit is an important aspect, especially if considerable amount of heat energy is used in an industry. This book is a report chiefly for heat audit, accompanied with other energy conservation opportunities, in a dairy plant. The report summarizes the heat losses due to various factors in the industry and suggestion / recommendation to arrest the losses are also rendered. The basic heat transfer and thermodynamics principle are applied to find the heat losses and to find the corrective measures. This report would be helpful for the enthusiasts who are willing to perform heat energy audit in an industry. In the audit fundamental heat transfer rate correlations for natural convection were used for finding the heat losses at various points. The concepts of thermodynamics to find the equivalent work loss from heat as well as monetary loss due to losses were also calculated.
