Harmonization of Product Information for Child Care Products

Child care products can be used to promote children¿s cognitive, physical, motor, language, social and emotional development. Parents and teachers and other helping professionals need to teach children about the safe use of products to prevent child care product related accidents. So, it is essential to give due recognition to safety labels on anything you give your child to use or play with. Many product related accidents are caused by small children getting hold of products intended for older kids. Most products have a suggested range on the packaging, i.e. in form of products safety warning symbol which tells us weather the product is suitable for your child¿s age group or not. This warning should not be ignored because it means that a product may contain small parts that could choke a very young child.
