Happiness and it's contributors: An exploration

The concept of happiness has gained interest only in the last few decades.This book investigates the very concept of happiness and attempts to explore what determine people's happiness, are they concrete , consumable things or some traits or living a meaningful life can ensure happiness. Some of the questions the author has attempted to answer are: whether people differing in age, sex, and marital status differ in their levels of happiness? Does there exist any relationship between personality traits and happiness? Does stressful life events influence happiness?Does having meaning in life determine happiness? Finally, it attempts to find out the relative contribution of the above mentioned variables in the development of happiness.
