Governance and the Right to Development in Cameroon:

This book examines the concepts of governance and the right to development. This is because the concepts of governance and the right to development are very important concepts in Human Rights discourse. Governance can be used to achieve the right to development especially good governance through the inclusive participation of all citizens in decision making and accountable management of natural resources within the State. Bad governance will definitely deny the people the opportunity to enjoy the right to development. The book opines that despite the measures put in place by the Cameroon government to promote good governance and development, most of the regions are very much clearly underdeveloped. A case in point is the South West Region and specifically the Barah people of Manyu Division. The book analyses the history and development situation of the Barah people. The Barah people are located in Upper Banyang sub-division in Manyu Division and have experienced and keep experiencing total abandonment partly because of the quality of Cameroon¿s governance system.
