Giant cell tumour of the tendon sheath and vellonodul synovitis

Giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath (GCTT) and pigmented vellonodular synovitis (PVNS) have often been considered as different nosological entities, the truth is that they represent a diverse group of proliferative lesions of the synovium that share identical histological features, both forms are different manifestations of the same disease.We propose our work as a way of didactic organization of this disease and its clinical forms, grouping varied and dispersed criteria available in the publications made by the scientific community, as a modest contribution in the training of the new generations of orthopedists; deepening in intrarticular SVNP and in the giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath.
