The last five decades or so has recorded increased trajectories of population movements across frontiers. People have been moving away from the places where they were born into other places which they are unfamiliar with for varying reasons. Africans have been noticed in this superhighway movements, moving to European and generally to the Western countries where they have formed significant diasporas and asserting themselves in their host countries. Though the literature on African migrations and African diaspora is sparse. Germany has been and is still an attractive destination country for many African migrants. Reception and hosting of African immigrants in Germany is not only problematic but also very tough with the enlargement of the EU. More still, African migrants especially sub-Saharan Africans are not European Union citizens. These migrants have become sit-tight, made Germany their second home, and living transnational lives through the effective use of incorporation strategies for decades in spite of all odds.
