Aimed at undergraduate and graduate students (Earth Sciences) as well as mine operators, this book is also intended for professionals teaching geological control of mining operations. How is geological control carried out during mining operations? What is the relationship between the geometry of ore bodies and mineralization? How can we geometrize, map and regulate the pace of mining? And how can we plan the mining of gold, diamond, columbite-tantaliferous and iron deposits? In answering these questions, this handbook presents the elements of geological control of mining, and constantly addresses and reconciles the objectives of regulating the pace imposed by mining and the demands of the processing industry in its relationship with space and time.
