This textbook on ¿Genetics the Continuity of Life¿ has been specially designed to cater the need of graduate and post-graduate students of colleges and university of the country. This book embodied 06 units with 35 chapters by considering the syllabus of all the Indian universities and based on the University Grant Commission, New Delhi curriculum. This book deals with fundamental aspects of genetics, Mendel and post-Mendelian genetics, gene interaction, multiple alleles, pleiotropism, linkage, chromosome, cell division, DNA and RNA structure, protein synthesis, mutation, sex determination, sex-linked inheritance, bacterial genetics, population genetics, and recombinant DNA technology. Keeping the view of the latest discoveries, the author has thoroughly revised and edited the chapters. At the end of each chapter question bank and multiple choice questions with answers are given. With the help of hand sketched figures, tables, genetical crosses and lucid language author has tried to serve a balanced account of Genetics.
