GENERALIZED PERIODONTITIS TREATMENT IN PATIENTS WITH STRESS

The monograph presents scientific substantiation the treatment and prevention of periodontal disease in patients with manifestations of psycho-emotional stress.The dependence of reactive and personal anxiety was found in patients with generalized periodontitis.The experimental studies were performed on rats in modeling adrenaline stress have shown that the use of adrenoblockers reduces the negative effects of psychosomatic stress, has positive anti-inflammatory, periodontalprotective, and effect on lipid peroxidation.In clinical studies the patients with generalized periodontitis were treated with the proposed complex of adrenoblockers in complex treatment. A clinical study conducted immediately after treatment showed that in patients of the main subgroup stabilization of the dystrophic-inflammatory process was achieved in most patients compared with patients in the control subgroup. The clinical and laboratory studies have shown the effective use of the proposed scheme of drug therapy in patients with generalized periodontitis and with psycho-emotional stress. The obtained favorable treatment results were maintained in the long-term follow-up.
