Gamma absorption parameters in ceramics, solvents, solutions and wood

The gamma radiometric gauging is a powerful, non-invasive and non-destructive tool used in a variety of applications in different fields such as industry, agriculture, forestry, medicine, tomography, gamma-ray fluorescence studies, radiation biophysics, nuclear industry space exploration, geology, ecology etc. With the availability of large number of applications of gamma radiations in every field, there is a need of through study of interaction of gamma rays in different materials used in various fields to give the proper knowledge of basic concepts of interaction of these radiations. The understanding of this study is on the basis of studies of gamma ray absorption parameters. The results presented in the book will be significant for undergraduates/ postgraduate¿s students of Physics/Applied Physics/Radiation Physics/analytical Nuclear Chemistry for research as well as applications of gamma radiation in different fields.
