Functional Analysis - Osteoarthritis of Knee

Osteoarthritis of the knee is a common condition that can cause considerable pain and disability. Many studies have proved that arch support , medial wedge and laterally wedged foot insole is beneficial in the treatment of mild-to-moderate osteoarthritis of the medial compartment of the knee A large range of devices are available to help people with knee osteoarthritis, but there are very few trials to demonstrate their efficacy. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the individual effects lateral heel wedge and medial heel wedge with arch support on functional analysis and quality of life in geriatric population with medial compartment knee osteoarthritis.The study needs to be carried out to observe the effectiveness of a arch support with lateral heel wedge insole versus arch support with medial heel wedge insole on function and Quality of life in patients with medial compartment knee OA.Participants with medial compartment knee osteoarthritis receiving arch support with lateral heel wedge is more effective in improving quality of life and functions, and can be advised for the older adults with medial compartment knee osteoarthritis.
