For decades the author has participated once a year in silence retreats, which are based on a spiritual theme and begin with a daily impulse. The largest part of the day is then dedicated to prayer, meditation and personal reflection. Such a path in silence allows many a past and seemingly forgotten thing to reappear in consciousness and increases sensitivity to the meaning and value of everyday experiences. In order for all this to remain effective, the author has recorded the thoughts and images that arise in the process in writing, collected them over the years and supplemented them with further experiences: situations from the family and professional sphere, impulses from personal reflection and the handling of the Holy Scriptures, observations from the environment and nature and much more - for personal recollection.
