Predicate Based Access Control (PBAC) is proposed in general and then implemented in OpenStack. A first of its kind application is built to reveal the proof of concept. The implementation of predicate based access control mechanism has shown more fine-grained control. It is believed that the mechanism can be incorporated in real-world workflow systems with diverse access control needs. The empirical results also revealed that the proposed framework for OpenStack with PBAC integration can improve the granularity with fine-grained access control mechanism.
