Formulation and Evaluation of Nanostructured Lipid Carriers

Lipid-based drug delivery systems are expected as promising oral carriers because of their potential to increase the solubility and improve oral bioavailability of poorly water-soluble and/or lipophilic drugs and are attracting major attention as alternative colloidal drug carriers. Traditional lipid-based formulations include a broad range of lipid solution, emulsions, liposomes, lipid microparticles and nanoparticles.
