Ferroelectric ceramics

Ferroelectric materials exhibit a wide spectrum of functional properties like switchable polarization, piezoelectricity, non-linear optical activity, pyroelectricity & non-linear dielectric behaviour, that has attracted researchers for many decades. These properties render them useful for diverse applications such as sensors, transducers/actuators, nonvolatile-memories, infrared detectors, photonic communications.
