The book is a product of a comprehensive research carried out on female circumcision in Nigeria. It also reviewed the practice of female circumcision under different ethnic, traditional, cultural and religious practices with a view to joining the global campaign for its eradication from Nigeria. Female circumcision is a gratuitous act and a fundamental violation of the rights of girls and women.
