Farmers' Extension Education and Diversification of Agriculture

The book introduces the topic,objectives and hypotheses formulated in the study. It later, in the second chapter delineates the methods used in the study. One of the important aspects is the development of knowledge test used in the collection of data. The third chapter is the Review of Literature which explains the various previous related studies conducted in the area. The fourth chapter speaks about the agencies which have an important role in spreading agricultural extension education in Punjab.The fifth chapter is on Agricultural Extension in the Five Year Plan Period. This chapter describes various planned activities formulated for the promotion of agricultural extension education during various plan periods in India. The sixth chapter is virtually the deals with the data analysis part. The seventh chapter chapter like the sixth one analyses the field data and draws inferences out of it. The eighth chapter deals with the problems and also offers suggestions of how to strengthen the extension education programme in agriculture in order to raise agricultural productivity. The last Chapter is Conclusion and Suggestions on the research work.
