Worldwide, drug abuse is associated with youth. Khat consumption is one the major problems facing the future of the youth in Somalia. Youth are getting involved in khat consumption, the number of youth chewing increases time after time. This study examined factors influencing khat consumption among youth in Garowe town of Puntland by targeting cost of khat, unemploy-ment, peer pressure and perceived benefits as the main indicators. This books explores findings from 90 youth, 14 women khat traders and 14 youth sport club leaders on the main factors that influence youth to consume khat. This book also suggest recommendations to youth khat chewing problem.
