In view of intrinsic fundamental interest and manifold technological application, the effort to synthesize the noble nanostructured (NS) materials of Ag and Au of varied size and morphology at cheaper rate employing environmentally sustainable procedures has become the main focus of the scientific fraternities.A lot of methodologies have been formulated for their fabrications.But all these procedures are fraught with many shortcomings. Consequently,in this research work,noble NS materials of Ag and Au of varied sizes and morphologies have been developed by varying different reaction parameters and by adopting waste material as precursors and were environment friendly, economic, solvent free, template free, eliminates the addition of external reducing and stabilizing agent, easily reproducible and scalable processes. Now-a-days, there is a step rise in the global production of wastewater with an increase in industrial development and major contaminants are perilous organic dyes, and various aromatic nitro compounds and techniques must be adopted for their remediation.Hence,in present research work Ag and Au NS were synthesized and their efficacy for wastewater treatment was tested.
