Beschreibung

Thallium Chalcogenide materials are of interest because investigations of their physical properties open up the possibility of important applications in the high technology. This book enriches knowledge in respect of Tl ¿ S photo ¿ conducting system. The work included in the book describes a new technique developed in the Solid State Lab at Aswan Faculty of Science, for growing single crystals of TlS, Tl2S and Tl4S3 modifications because of the known difficulties in obtaining these modifications in their mono ¿ crystal forms. Although high photosensitivity of the layered single crystals obtained in this work, there is, little information disseminated in literature concerning the photoconductivity (PC) of the aforementioned modifications. Consequently, the work thoroughly demonstrates the electrical and photoelectrical properties of the layered single crystals under investigation. These demonstrations represent new experimental data through the electrical measurements, dc-PC and ac-PC spectra of these modifications, however the book shows extensive discussion and analyses of the resultant data followed by the future works strongly recommended for Tl ¿ S photo ¿ conducting system.
