This work was conducted with the purpose of exploring the health beliefs and care seeking behavior of the elderly people. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods were employed by this study. The findings indicated that both social and cultural factors have the great role to play in the health seeking behavior of the elderly people. Therefore, the study concluded that health seeking behavior is the complex phenomenon in which a lot of factors take part. With this few words, this work is recommended to be read by social science researchers, medical sociology/anthropology students and social policy planners especially of the developing countries.
