Experimental Investigation of Self-Compacting Concrete

SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE (SCC) has gained a wide use for placement in congested reinforcement concrete structures where casting conditions are difficult and in high rise buildings where pump ability properties are required. For such applications the fresh concrete must possess high fluidity and good cohesiveness. The use of fine materials such as Coal ash and marble powder and super plasticizer can ensure the required concrete properties. In this book the experimental investigation report is given on replacement of Fine aggregates with Coal Ash and marble powder which is a waste material. Because Coal ash and marble powder are dumped as a waste, if we use it as a cementitious material the concrete becomes more sustainable and environment friendly.
