A major challenge faced by Orthodontists in the 21st century is to integrate the accrued scientific evidence into their clinical orthodontic practice. The evidence-based practice aims to bridge the gap between "what is Known and What is Practiced". The goal of evidence-based practice is to improvise patient care by providing treatment based on research developments that have been shown to be safe, effective, and efficient. This book is a compilation of evidence-based clinical recommendations after a thorough evaluation of scientific journals and search databases on various clinical orthodontic topics, to provide practical applications of scientific information that can guide orthodontists in clinical decision making.
