Evaluation of the speaking skills in Pre-University Education

To EFL teachers, researchers, and students as well: Would you like to get to know about the speaking skills, their subskills, their place in the curriculum, their promoting activities? Would you like to know how to content analyse such skills throughout your school textbooks, how to evaluate these skills in your teaching material? All answers are in such a book! For most people, the ability to speak a foreign language is synonymous with knowing that language because speech is for them the basic means of human communication. English learners no longer expect the traditional approach of their teachers based on developing mainly the grammatical competence and using methodology popular in the past. Speaking a foreign language is one of the essential requirements of today¿s society. Besides other skills and knowledge, it is considered as one of the most influencing factors while applying for a job or sustaining in a particular work position under the condition of advancing the language level. Based on my EFL teaching for more than thirty years, I can confirm that mastering the speaking skills of English language is a necessity for everyone in general, and for students in particular.
