Evaluation of Some Organ Damage Markers in Quail Egg - Pretreated Acet

Acetaminophen is an over-the -counter analgesic drug that is abused on daily basis with attendant consequences of precipitating various hepatic disorders. Quail egg on the other hand is recently gaining popularity regarding its various therapeutic potentials. There are a lot of documented testimonies of the healing properties of quail egg. This study therefore was designed to evaluate the possible ameliorative effects of pre-treatment with quail egg solution on acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity in rats. Quail egg solution of varying concentrations were administered over a period before inducing hepatic injury with overdose of acetaminophen in rats.
