Evaluation of Library Services

The Library profession at the world in general and India in particular is passing through a period of transition. The advancement of computer came as a wonder revolution during 20th century changed completely and the library scenario of development countries. The application of computers in information world has already solved the problem of ¿Knowledge Explosion¿ to a great extent. The bibliographic control of monographs and serial publication and their contents made possible through the creation of subject and general database. The concept of networking has also thrown open the resources of participating libraries for sharing with others thereby making the ¿universal availability of Knowledge' a reality.
