Evaluation of Florida Indoor Urban Water Use and Water Loss Management

This book presents methodologies that utilities can use to develop optimal water conservation plans which provide sufficient water savings for minimal cost. The optimal plan provides methods to accurately quantify key components of utility water usage and their savings potential, which current conservation plan methodology lacks. This book stresses data driven approaches toward water usage analysis, showing that clean water usage and customer attribute databases provide useful planning information which can be manipulated fairly easily. Most of the analysis methods suggested in this book are quick and do not require much technical background, therefore providing a planning methodology which utilities in Florida can use effectively to conserve water.
