Evaluation of Coal Fired Public Power Plants Including Coal Reserves

In spite of rising demand for of energy and electricity in line with Turkey''s economic development, the country has become more and more energy dependent due to limited resources. Although hard coal is only found around Zonguldak Region, lignite is widely spread throughout the country and mostly used for generation. This book, after briefly dealing with historical trend in the world and Turkey, gives detailed information on coal reserves and analyses development of power plants together with the reserves. In the last chapter, it also proposes some new units for the rest of the reserves after allocation to present ones. In this manner, it can also be helpful for those who are planning to make investment in energy area in Turkey. The book also presents official data on greenhouse gases and recalculates those emissions with a different approach.
