Saraca asoca "Ashok briksh", is known under a variety of names in different languages: Tamil, asogam; Hindi: ashoka.Saracaasocaroxb. Root is used for treatement of paralysis, hemiplegia, numbness and visceral, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and herpes-kushta.Based on ethanol pharmacological information the present study is focused on the evaluation of preliminary phytochemical and anti-ulcer activity.
