Ethics and deontology of the teaching profession

The teacher is one of the actors who intervene in the education sector. He is not only a master (magister) whose knowledge is admired, but also an example, a model of life to imitate. For just as the child imitates his parents because they are for him the finished image of himself, so is the teacher for his pupils. A defective education, that is to say, one whose content leaves something to be desired, affects the beneficiary person with irreversible defects; but also shortcomings or notorious deficiencies on the part of the trainer have incalculable consequences on the person to be trained. This is why, in order to educate the learners, the protagonists must have competence, intellectual, moral and spiritual qualities. For in the process of education, there is also a certain degree of voluntary participation of the person to be educated. It does not undergo the education, but it co-acts.
