Estimation of Carbon

The worldwide climate change is a known and scientifically accepted phenomenon which has over the years become a major concern because of the direct threat it imposes and capability it holds in term of increase in the earth¿s temperature, rising sea levels, increasing floods and droughts in addition to having an increased potential of causing health risks such as malaria and other vector-borne and skin diseases. This phenomenon is the result of the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere due to the use of fossil fuels and other human activities which can only be dealt with by showing commitment to minimize the greenhouse emissions in the atmosphere. The idea of ¿Offsetting¿ carbon footprint may be used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of the textile industry. It may involve modification of the production processes in the industry, the usage of efficient generators and boilers that have catalytic converters in their chimney¿s etc, to reduce the emissions, using public land and air transports.
