Estimating the Quantity and Quality of Poultry Litter in Tamilnadu

Tamil Nadu is one of the largest poultry producing state in India, and has substantial amount of poultry litter available. Poultry litters are dumped in large quantities at poultry farm as a waste by-product leading to environmental pollution. In an attempt to resolve this dilemma, estimating the quantity and quality of available poultry litter in Tami Nadu paves way to start power generating units in this state. Electricity can be produced from poultry waste for the total daily consumption of most of the poultry farms to increase the profitability of the poultry industry. This book aims at benefiting an array of audience including policy makers, practitioners, students, teachers and researchers who are willing to get an idea about building power generating plants from poultry litter.This book cover other important aspects such as constraints faced by the poultry farmers in the power generation as well as list of large poultry farms. In addition to this, a simple model project is also attached for the benefit of the readers.
