Ergonomics and Functional Approaches in Work Clothing

Nowadays in which work efficiency is very important, the effect of wearing clothes on productivity and working comfort is inevitable. In addition to protecting the health and safety of the workers, the work clothes they wear while performing their duties must also be comfortable, easy to use and suitable for body characteristics. These clothes worn by the employees during the day should be suitable for both the job and the employee. Thus, problems arising from clothing during the work are eliminated and efficient and fast working is possible. Work clothing is of great importance, in arm and foot movements, bending up and standing, and turning the body. If this garment is capable of obstructing or limiting movements, it will both disturb the worker and affect the speed, time and efficiency of the work. In this study, it is aimed to design and implement suitable work clothes for employees to work comfortably and efficiently. The ergonomic and functional properties of work clothes that should be in the design and production stage were examined.
