EPIDEMIOLOGICAL AND CLINICAL STUDY OF HEART FAILURE

Heart failure is a chronic and progressive pathology, a major public health problem, which is burdened with a significant morbidity and mortality.In order to carry out our study correctly, we asked ourselves the question: what is the epidemiological and clinical profile of patients with heart failure diagnosed at the Belle Vue Medical Center?The general objective of our study is to determine the epidemiological and clinical profile of heart failure at Belle Vue Medical Center.Our study revealed that heart failure had a frequency of 12.3%. The proportion of men with heart failure was 57.5% compared with 42.5% of women. The age group between 57 and 77 years represented 43.5% and the age above 77 years represented 31.2%. Patients from the Katindo district accounted for 39.1%. Hypertension was a risk factor in 70% of patients. Dyspnea on exertion was a reason for consultation with 72.6%. The health status of many patients improved with a rate of 77.6%.
