Environmental Crisis In Niger Delta: Re-interpreting Subdue & Dominate

This work took a closer view at the issue of environmental pollution from a biblical cum theological perspective. The specific objectives include: (i) looking at the concept of ¿¿¿¿ (radah)¿ and ¿ ¿¿¿(kabash)¿; (ii) investigating the confusion of interpretation of the Biblical command for man to go, be fruitful and multiply, have dominion over the earth and subdue it, meaning that man can dispose of nature as he pleases; and (iii) providing the way forward and the means of getting out of the dilemma called environmental pollution in Niger Delta, Nigeria. The method employed in this book was basically hermeneutical, descriptive and analytical, and the result shows that the key issue at stake is human misplacement of moral value and not the biblical terms, ¿¿¿¿ (radah)¿ and/or ¿¿¿¿ (kabash)¿. A five principle recommendation was thereafter suggested.
